Bethania Lutheran Kindergarten is co-located with Bethania Lutheran School on Glastonbury Drive at Bethania. Our service first opened its doors in July 2009 as a result of an identified need in the local community for a high-quality early childhood service and kindergarten program. We are a small, two room service, with a Junior Kindy and Kindergarten group. We accept children from two years six months of age.

At Bethania Lutheran Kindergarten, we provide your child with a safe, secure, comfortable and supportive learning environment. Our program stimulates young minds to think outside the square. It fosters creativity, challenges thinking and doing, and supports co-operative learning. We address the needs, interests and abilities of each child and recognise them as the unique individuals God created. 

Our program is play based and includes a strong focus on nature and the outdoor environment.  We have a large, natural playground with open ended resources and loose parts to inspire imagination, co-operation and problem solving during the children’s play. During the winter terms, we offer a Bush Kindy program, where the children visit a natural bushland site on a weekly basis to play and explore.

Our location on campus at Bethania Lutheran School allows the children the opportunity to be a part of the wider community.  We attend and participate in important school events such as Sports Carnivals, Walk for Cambodia, celebrations, special services and other events during the school year.  We visit the school library on a weekly basis, and worship with the school community on a Friday morning at Chapel.

Our team of educators are professional, experienced and highly qualified.  Our small team of educators are dedicated, caring and supportive and take the time to get to know each child and their family.  All of our educators hold Working with Children “Blue Cards”, First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Child Protection qualifications.  They have a passion for early childhood education, nature-based play and a love of working with children.
